Is Sweet Potato Makhana Porridge Safe for Baby-Led Weaning?
Suitable from 6 months onwards when baby shows readiness signs
Texture can be adjusted for purée, mashed, or thick porridge consistency
Makhana must be powdered or finely ground for babies under 9 months
Ingredients (Baby-Safe)
• ½ cup makhana (fox nuts), ground coarsely
• 1 tbsp unsalted butter or ghee (plus a drizzle of olive oil)
• ¼ tsp mustard seeds
• Few curry leaves (remove before serving)
